Red Sails is a loose-leaf lettuce with ruffled, reddish-bronze leaves that have a mild, bitter-free flavor. It is a vigorous and slow-bolting variety that can really take the summer heat.  Excellent for salads and can be harvested by picking outer leaves for a continuous supply or cutting the entire head.  Widely used as a baby red lettuce.
