Solanum lycopersicum
Peach Blow Sutton is a charming variety was first introduced in 1897 by Sutton and Sons Seed Growers of Reading, England, and named for a style of Victorian glassware that was all the rage at the time.
The skin of this tomato is an indescribable shade of lightly mottled, slightly translucent vibrant pink, making it easily one of the most beautiful tomatoes we've ever grown. Not fuzzy like a peach, but matte like a nectarine. Fruits hold all of their seeds at the center, making them easy to hollow out for stuffing. The flesh is firm and relatively dry; excellent for a pink, non-watery salsa!
Vigorous, healthy plants produce heavily and were among the last to succumb to late blight in the garden this year. Good flavor too! Slightly fruity and sweet with just a hint of tart.
