The Big White Pink Stripes Tomato is a large-ish heirloom beefsteak type with cream to pale yellow colored skin and a pink blush radiating from the blossom end. The flavor is sweet and tropical, and low in acid, said to be one of the best tasting white tomatoes ever. Some describe the taste as 'melon-like'. Alas, this rare beauty will never make it to market because it has a thin and delicate skin. It's definitely one of those garden-to-table varieties that are meant to be savored still warm from the sun.
