A uniquely beautiful Japanese heirloom that starts out dark green to almost black, and turns a lovely golden chestnut color in storage.  Known for its complex, nutty flavor, fine texture, and thin, edible skin.  Very productive, bearing 3-5 fruit per plant in good conditions.
