Solanum lycopersicum
Minimum seed count: 20
Indeterminate
This is one of the very first tomatoes I grew in my garden here in New Hampshire, and it's still one of my favorites. It's sweet, flavorful, prolific, and makes an absolutely ambrosial orange sauce on its own, or adds depth and complexity when sauced with other varieties. Makes superb sundried tomatoes. Also, orange ketchup anyone?
Orange Banana is a Russian Heirloom introduced to the US by Seed Savers Exchange in 1996. Its flavor is said to compare to Sungold cherry tomatoes (if you know, you know!)
Fruits are about 3-4 inches long and average 4-5oz. 85 days.
