A French heirloom cantaloupe cultivated by the Carmelite monks in the late 1700's.  Dark green skin matures to a speckled yellow-orange.  Sugary and aromatic flesh melts in your mouth, especially when the summer has been hot.  Grows well in the north, and anywhere with shorter seasons or less heat than required for most melons.  Non-fussy, productive plants are easy to grow!
Be careful not to overwater when it's nearly ripe as it may split.
