This stunning heirloom is known for its 3-4" long fruit that are beautifully striped in lavender and white.  Mild, slightly sweet, tender flesh is great for grilling, stuffing, and sautéing.  If you're anything like me, you will grow these just because they're pretty, but it sure is a bonus that they're tasty and nutritious as well.
