This heirloom has been around since 1927, and has been long used by plant breeders when they're trying to come up with a cucumber with ideal color, length, or flavor.  It was a popular market variety for many years due to its reliably consistent size and quality.  Fruit reaches 12" long by 2.5" in diameter as is crunchy and flavorful with a small seed cavity.  As the name implies, this cuke is perfect for uniform slices, whether on the salad plate, or in the pickle jar!
