About the size and shape of a lemon with a pale yellow, non-bitter skin that doesn't need to be peeled.  Crunchy and juicy fruit that's excellent for fresh eating or pickling.  Though vines start bearing a little later than other cukes, they are prolific and hardy.  Lower levels of cucurbitacin makes them less attractive to cucumber beetles.  Introduced in 1894.
