Cucumis sativus

Minimum seed count: 20

An heirloom cucumber selected five generations ago by the Boothby family of Livermore, Maine.  Henry Boothby brought his family to Maine from England around 1720, so the family had been in Maine for seven generations or so when they noticed the unusual 'blonde' cucumber in their garden around the year 1890, and decided to save the seeds.  The Boothby is a vigorous producer, and the fruits are sweet and crisp, with a thin skin that doesn't need peeling.  Great for cooler climates and shorter growing seasons.

Best when eaten at about 4" long.  Perfect for bread and butter pickles.
